My baby shower!

Hi ya ladies. It has been an awesome day! My sister told me on Friday that she had ordered me a gift but forgot to change the address to her house. So make a long story short this package was being delivered to my house and she wanted me to wait and bring it out with me when I came to the shower. So I am waiting around and my DH comes and tells me I need to answer the door that its UPS. I open the door and my best friend was standing there. I was in shock and in tears and so happy!!!!! It was an awesome surprise. She said here is your special delivery and she handed me a box of diapers. It was so sweet! She lives about 4 1/2 hours away and I haven't seen her in about 6 months. Wow! The shower was wonderful, lots of great gifts and yummy cake! My friend is here now so I am going to post up pics and stuff probably tomorrow so I can get back to visiting with her.

What a great surprise! My family cant bother... Your very lucky to have people who care about you. I cant wait to see pictures! I bet that cake was very yummy!

I saw the news about your BF on Facebook, that is so exciting. That was sweet of them to arrange it and surprise you. My BF is flying down from Western Mass for Avery's Birth, I haven't seen her in 16 Months. I was in the delivery room with her for her first, so I am really excited she is going to be here for this life event...I just hope she hangs on and doesn't arrive early because her flight won't be so easy to change I can't wait to hear all the details and see the pictures

I am so thankful! It was a great day of friends and family and eating and cake and gifts! I also received some cash so I will be able to go pick up the last few things we need for the baby! Now I get to spend the week organizing and putting everything away!

Thank you! I want to work on washing up the bedding and getting the crib made. I will take a picture of it once I have it done.

That is great. I am so glad that you had such a nice day. And putting everything away and organizing is SOOO much fun, you will have a blast arranging and rearranging it all a trillion times I swear I could fold and unfold blankets all day while sitting in the nursery. Oh wait, thats right, there is no where to sit in my Nursery BECAUSE MY DAMN FURNITURE STILL HASN"T ARRIVED...and no, caps lock didn't get stuck, that was me yelling

When is it supposed to arrive? Cutting it close! I still sit and fold things...it never gets old.

OH, do not get me started. I swear. It arrived the week before Christmas, but two pieces were damanged, so we rejected them, they shipped them again on January 19th and they are STILL not here. The shipping company was waiting for a "full truck", so they had estimated they would be here Thursday, but were wrong, but on Friday they confirmed they were on the truck and scheduled to be delivered that day, well at 4pm they still hadn't arrived at the warehouse (DH sells Commerical Furniture, so they were being shipped to his warehouse), and so I have no idea what happened to them, the Customer Service Rep couldn't reach the driver, and the warehouse was closing at 4:30 so I am terrified that they went back on the truck and are going to have to wait for another full truck, I will lose my mind. At least we have the crib, not that we really need it, she will be in a Co-Sleeper next to our bed, but I like that the bedding is on and looks good I am still missing the Armoire and Dresser, which is just annoying, because I can't put anything away...

And I should add, we placed the order on October 24th, 2008...SERIOUSLY PEOPLE.

Thank you. It was great. I felt a little weird at first, not use to being the center of attention. It was nice. Now I get to work on putting everything away and I need to buy stamps for the thank you cards.
