Baby Shower #1

These photos are from the baby shower I had in New York this past weekend. My PITA MIL threw it- but at least she was nice to me this weekend.

I love the pics, the centerpiece is too cute did someone make that or did they buy it from somewhere? I have to say one of the pictures you look like you were done with either opening gifts or picture taking... which one was it?? I hope you got lots of goodies and you have even more fun at your next shower!!

Aww I love the pictures and the Diaper cake (I guess that is what you would call those things). I also love the snow in the background. It looks so beautiful and we never see anything like that where I am.

The diaper cakes were made by my husbands aunt. She made 5 of them! It absolutely killed me to have to disassemble them to get them home. In the photo where I looked exhausted- I was exhausted with the whole thing. I had been up since 8am helping cook. Then people stayed hanging out from 1pm-8pm. We didnt get back on the road until 9 for our 3 hr drive home..but we got a lot of nice gifts!

For the dipaer cakes- she rolled up size 1 and 2 diapers with rubber bands. Then each one had a theme. Bathtime, Numbers and letters, Meal time, Playtime and there was one more I cant remember. So in the bathtime one, she put rubber duckies, rolled up wash cloths and towels, body wash, all bath stuff. She did such an awesome job.

The one I posted the picture of was Numbers and Letters. It had books, number and letter puzzle pieces (she gave me the actual puzzles seperate) and that have numbers or letters on them.

Oh, the 5th one was princess theme. How could I forget that!

Oh no! You had to cook at your own baby shower?? No fair! MY PITA MIL is throwing me a shower this upcoming weekend...and I'm afraid I will get wrangled into helping since we are staying there the night before. I plan on sleeping in and telling DH to tell his mom that I don't feel well. Selfish of me, right??

I also wanted to say, I love seeing pictures of all the DHs/SOs finally as we put up maternity shots and shower pictures. I feel like I've known you ladies forever, but this is the first time we're actually seeing the men emerge! You both look great.

I did get a lot of great stuff. I got ALL the big stuff I registered for except a pack'n'play. alnaday, I just got to look at your photos- and your shower looked like SO much fun! Did they have it at a restaurant?

yeah my brother's neighbor owns a breakfast place in Dorchester on Dot Ave. and they rented it out for the shower.
