3 Hour Glucose Test?!

Anyone else lucky enough to fail their one hour one and get to do the three hour one?
I have to call and schedule mine, and I am totally freaking out about it.

I have not luckily but can imagine how annoying and grouling it must be. The 2 hour is hard enough without being able to eat first thing in the morning and 3 hours would kill me. In a way I know how much it sux because with my first pregnancy I was only supposed to do the 2 hour but the lab staff forgot about me and it took 3 hours so by the time it was over I wanted to kill someone. How much did you fail the first test with....If its a small margin in numbers there is a good chance you dont have GD.

Not personally, but my good friend failed her 1 hour test by 5 points and had to take the 3 hour test, she passed easily, they said 5 points could have essentially been a lab error. GOOD LUCK. Bring a trashy romance novel...that will help pass the time.

I am surprised you have to schedule it, with out lab we just walk in when we want to...

with my son i didnt have to do the 3 hour test...and im going next tuesday for my 1st test...i hope i pass! Did you have to fast for the test? my doc said i dont just dont eat anything sugary and my appt is for the afternoon...should i switch to morning?

I had to fast for mine. I took it last Friday first thing in the morning. I had my check up today and as I was leaving the lab faxed my results over. I failed and now I am waiting to hear back from them tomorrow. I had a rough time not eating for that short amount of time. I am really worried about having to take the 3 hour test now.

I failed mine the first time and had to do the 3 hour one!! It was okay, I took a book to read and my hubby stayed with me for most of it...but beware--take a granola bar or juice or something to eat when you are done, I nearly passed out after hubby and I got in the car to go back home!!! Good luck and just go prepared...it will be fine.

Well I took it today and it wasn't too bad.
I didn't think I was going to be able to keep the nasty drink they give you down, but I did.
I had brought a book, but ended up dozing off and sleeping most of the time, and so did the other lady in the waiting room with me.
When it was all over DH picked me up and we headed directly up the street to McD's for some nuggets.
Now it's just a matter of waiting for the results. When I first got there they told me my level was 106, which they seemed to act like it wasn't a big deal. After my 1 hr test two weeks ago it was 165.
