Secret Registry Santa? Empty Secret Registry Santa?

Post  SarinasLilAddition Mon Feb 09, 2009 11:05 am

My sister and I were talking about birth boards.. she belonged to one in 05 (Not nearly as awesome as ours though..haha) and she said that when everyone got to the month before delivery.. they did kind of a "Secret Santa" thing with baby registries. Everyone got a Secret Registry Buddy and got their buddy one thing off their registry. Just for fun. A $$ limit was set and it was a good time had by all.

I know we had Secret Sisters going and I know a few, maybe a couple of you still have that going... but a lot of us got jipped on the Secret Sisters when OBBC split... or our secret sister just decided to stop communicating..lol. I also know that money is tight all around this year, so it's totally JUST a suggestion.

What do you girls think or is my brain full of cake and I'm totally off my rocker??? bounce

I should be able to do it also. Let me know what money amount you decide on before I agree 100%. I am not working now so I would need to budget it in.

just let me know, I think $40 would be good b/c a lot of stuff is 39.99, but I also think people should do what they can afford.

YAY!! I'm so glad there's been such a great response!! Now we just need to figure out the $$ limit. Someone said $40... how's that with everyone??? Or do we want to go lower, maybe $30??

I dont want to make the decision..haha.

I think 30 would be a good limit. And IF they WANT to do more then they can. MAYBE... we could do a AT LEAST limit of like 20 or 25. Does that make any sense??

Like with me and my SS we always go over our limit but have said that we are fine as long as we both spend at least 20. It is SO hard to spend JUST 20. Well it is for me because she is having a girl!!!!

That's just an idea... maybe we can get more ladies if we have a lower limit, but if THEY WANT to do more then they can.

For the non-FTMs that are participating...Are you guys registered somewhere? If not, it would be awesome if you could tell Sarina some things that you'd like to get so your buddy has an idea of what to get you.

Well I have a few things I still need. So I can do some links or something. Then she can pass them along. Well I will just put them in here and she can pass it along.

http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=8112866

http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=10719956

http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=8112867

http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=8112870

http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=8112868

Then I can always use baby wash, lotion, towels etc.

I hope this works since what I ahve put on my registery I have been guying myself and not taking off.

Can I be added in, too? I always love baby gifts - I tend to get crafty Very Happy I don't have a registry, but since this is my second and it's a boy (our first is a girl) I guess I just need boy clothing. That's easy enough, right?
