I slept last night!

And wow did it feel wonderful!!! For those who don't remember I've been complaining of horrible hip pain in both sides from side sleeping (normally I'm a belly/back sleeper). Well everyone kept asking me if I had put the pillow between my legs or used a body pillow, both of which made the hips hurt worse. I've been exhausted and miserable. Last night I decided to put a flatter pillow just tucked under my belly to keep it off the mattress and elevate it a bit and OMG heaven!!! It worked devinely!! I fell asleep around 10 and slept till 1:45, then I woke up to pee (no waking from pain!) and fell back to sleep around 3. Then slept till the alarm went off at 6AM. I can't even tell you the last time that happened. It was absolute heaven! I can't wait to go back to sleep tonight! 6 solid hours of sleep. Can a woman ask for much more???

It's amazing what a good nights sleep can do to our well-being, isn't it!! So glad you were able to get some rest last night! My hips start hurting when I sleep on my side also, I have a pillow between my legs and one tucked under my tummy also--I still toss and turn from side to side, but I'm starting to get tired enough to at least sleep a good 3-4 hrs. straight...it's delightful!

Last night was a good night for me too, I only woke up twice to pee....1:47am and 3:49am and then I was out until 7:17am when I heard Olivia stirring...I love working from home on Friday's because I can sleep until she wakes up and then my DH takes her to daycare...

I have had no sleep on some nights too. I have always suffered through it until i started with this Chiropractor. Now.. no numbing hips! And i can turn in bed without round ligement pains! You should give it a try! I told my chiropractor about all your aches and pains.. he asked if you were all local.. but i said no.. so he said.. well then i should "blog" and tell them all to wake up and get in somewhere! LOL

My hips and shoulders hurt occasionally when I wake up. My main problem is the restless legs! That is VERY annoying! I sleep with a body pillow between my legs and under my stomach. I cannot wait to sleep on my stomach again. I miss that so much.

Yay, Jenni!! I am so glad you finally got some rest. I had a similar experience the other night... woke up feeling rested and I was amazed at the difference. Hope it becomes a trend for you!!

I still cannot sleep again!! I am going on three days now. Thank goodness it is the weekend!!!

I am glad some of you are able to sleep.. I wasnt on that list last night. My bedroom was so DRY i had to keep getting up to get a drink.. hense having to go pee every hour.. So i filled the cool mist humidifier but that didnt work. Humm.. oh well.. this is just preparing us all for whats to come in a couple months.

cool, i picked up this Boppy pregnancy wedge pillow yesterday at Motherhood to prop under the belly cuz my pillows werent cuttin it, it was comfy for the belly but my hips r still killing me tho...

I agree, April--it's just preparing us for what's to come in just a few months!! I am in denial still though, forgetting what it's like to get up every few hours (or more) with a crying baby. I wonder how many miles we'll walk around the house holding our LO's while we try to get them back to sleep! Well, at least it's exercise! Guess we should appreciate any sleep we get now, huh?
