swelling anyone?

I have compression socks i LOVE them! But I am not swollen at all! My legs swell a little but nothing bad, and I can still wear my rings just fine! But I did notice the other day my vagina was swollen.. seriously WTF? I was like oh hell here we go lol. But other than that my face is a little puffy but I have to admit its the weight gain, not the swelling that is making me look more "rounded" in the face lol. But I would reccommend compression socks to EVERYONE! I know they help me. When I dont wear them I get little indentations from my other socks but not the compression socks. I just bought mine at Babies R Us I think they were 15$ for a pair of socks, a little pricy but well worth it!

well arent u a lucky duck?? lol just kidding but i doubt if by 36 weeks u havent had swelling that u will have any, or much of any.. Oh man i can not wait until this is all done.. seriouasly, pregnancy should be 8 months on the dot and thats it,, why does god do this to us???? lol

LOL, if it did only last 8 months we would want it to be over 7 months. I don't think we would ever be happy.

I went to the Dr. today for my swelling and the midwife recommended using a dandelion tincture. It acts as a natural diuretic (i.e. is makes you pee and gets rid of extra fluid) without washing out sodium and potassium. I bought mine at Whole Foods, but you can probably get it at any health food/ natural store for about $10. It comes in a little vial with an eye dropper. You put 30 drops in about 2 tbls. of water and down it like a shot. She said that I won't get my pre-pregnancy ankles back, but the swelling should go down enough that I will be able to bend my ankles and knees. I am excited! I will let you know how it works!

Yep I'm eager to hear if it does any good too! I also noticed the vahjayjay thing when attempting to locate an ingrown hair. I'm happy to know I'm not the only one. I'm not letting DH see that....I was horrified.

add me to the pitting edema party. Drinking water supposedly helps because if you are dehydrated your body holds on to every bit of fluid it can (kinda like with malnutrition) but it doesn't help me. I drink about 6 16 oz bottles of water a day and I am still soooo thirsty! I haven't been able to wear my wedding rings since about the third month, but I tend to swell anyway. My feet and legs are so swollen it feels like my skin is going to split open!!!!

I'm curious as to why I have the pitting edema this time (never did with my previous pregnancies) and joint pain, but it's almost over. I'm thinking very soon actually.....I've been contracting all day and my back is hurting something fierce!
