whos going to do maternity pics?

i didnt do them with my son but would like to do it this time...and have my son in the pics! what are you going to wear for them? I like the button down shirt look with the belly sticking out...or the sports bra with jeans! any fun ideas you are going to use? I saw on NBBC a picture...it was a upclose of the belly and is black and white with a pink ribbon around the belly...i so want to use this idea! and i saw some with blocks that say boy or girl .... just wondering who is going to do them and when? Im going to be 32 weeks tomorrow so i say by 36 weeks i want to get them done.

Not me...since my first trimester I have been getting a weird rash on my stomach..and there is no way anyone is seeing this belly without clothes on!

I am, I am, I am!! I'll be about 36 weeks as well. I'm getting them done at Sears.. I'm also doing the GIRL blocks, the pink ribbon and the button down shirt (great minds think alike, eh?) I've got a couple of stretch marks and the photographer said that if I didn't like them, we can use make up or edit them out.. but who knows, maybe I'll just leave my baby love marks in the picture!

I didn't know that Sears did Maternity Shots, I can't wait to see how they all turn out...I haven't had great luck there lately with Olivia's pictures, they were great when she couldn't move, but after she started moving it was bad news bears.

My favorite place for photo's is Portrait Innovations, they are more expensive, but do a FABULOUS job. And I loved CLIX, but the local one here closed, so bummed. JC Penny's and Sears were great before Olivia could move, but not so much now, and JC Penny's isn't digital, which makes it tough...

Sears told me they can't edit things out here, Olivia had a scratch one day and they said they couldn't do anything about it, so that is great that your Sears is willing to work with you GOOD LUCK. I can't wait to see them. I am soooooooooo not proud of how I look, despite being proud of carrying this little one. I avoid getting my picture taken at all costs, pregnant or not. I wasn't like this before I put on 40lbs after my thyroid treatment, so my goal is to get rid of that extra 40 pounds before May 2010 so we can have cool pics taken for our 5 year Anniversary...

yea sears wanted to do my shoot at xmas time and i kept saying no because i wanted to wait til 09 to do them...my sears will not photoshop any scars out either....my son split his head open in Nov and we did xmas pic 2nd week in dec and they wouldnt remove it or cover it up...so my husband had to do it when we got the cd...

I have avoided taking professional family pics for this very same reason.

I would like to lose weight first, and as a treat to myself get my pics done.

Once LO is born, I will have big bro and lil sis studio pictures done.

Here Picture People is the place to go. They are super expensive though...my friend always goes there and her packages and poses always cost $199+...but they are GREAT pictures!

I always get so jealous when I see other families all together in a picture, and I won't even let my husband take pictures of me with my own daughter. I know I will regret it later in life, but I am scared she will look back at the pics and think her Mom was a chubo...we only have one picture of the three of us at the hospital, its pathetic, and we have one picture of all of us at the beach (fully dressed, no bathing suits) and thats it, and she is almost 18M old...all of my friends have familiy shots at all holidays and events, and we don't and I hate it, it actually upsets me a lot because I am a huge picture nut, but I am so afraid of looking at myself in the pictures...I love photography my DH and DD together.

We will have studio pics done of the girls, when Avery is 1M, 3M, 6M, 9M and 12M old, but I want to make sure I get pics of just Avery too, because we have so many of Olivia, I don't want Avery to feel left out when she is older. We did a huge professional studio package with Olivia, it was $2,000+ for the year, and it was great, but so expensive and we don't have the money to do it again with Avery and I feel so bad. We actually just got our album yesterday, its yearbook style, and its amazing...

I did mine last monday!! i wanted to do them early cause everyone already asks me if im due any day now so i wanted to do them before i blew up hahaha.. My friend kelley is a professional photographer with a studio so she did them for me, i should have them back next week, i cant wiat to see how they turned out! i will post them for sure once i get em!

I have never done pregnancy pictures before. I know I would love to but most likely wont. I hope you ladies post yours. I love seeing pictures. Here is a studio that i have fallen in love with but i have never been there. SadiesOnline

LGTWifey... I really think you should make it a goal for this year to have a picture of you and dh, you and the girls, and a family picture taken. I dont have many pictures of my mom and dad together but the couple i have i really cherrish.

And I am good with photoshop so if you all get something in your pictures that you dont want i can take it out. I am good with swapping heads, removing objects, fixing blemishes, removing backgrounds and replacing with new ones, putting pictures in nice photo frames, etc.

I REALLY want to have them done. I feel so bad that I haven't had more professional shots of Ava - 7 weeks, 4 months, 8 months and then not again until 2! I had her 2 year shots done at Target and was honestly pretty impressed. They're digital now so they were willing to do some touch ups, plus we had a great photographer. I just got a coupon for them, so I'm thinking about going before Owen gets here. I can't wait to see everyone's pics!

I want to have at least one family picture of all of us in the hospital, I have been better this pregnancy of at least taking 1-2 belly shots, I didn't do a single one with Olivia, and I feel so bad she won't be able to look back on them...

I'm getting them done! I can't wait! My DH has wanted me to get them done since we found out I was pregnant. He's always asking "so when can we do your maternity pics?" lol...I keep telling him I want to get a little bit bigger before we do. I think that I will do them at the end of the month or beginning of February...my belly is getting to a good size. I can't wait!

Mine are scheduled for Feb. 8, with a photographer I found in Kansas City... (there's a lack of local photography talent here... we had our wedding photographer come in from Chicago, and it was SO worth it!). It's just a 2 hour drive, so we'll go down for an overnight in a romantic little hotel before pics on Sunday morning.

so it doesnt look like i will be doing maternity pics after all...im very upset because i wanted them with our DS and money was an issue and now this time i was told that we would and it turns out money is an issue again...im so sad...we found out our mortgage is going up over $1,000 a month. I didnt think that is possible...so now we are strapped for cash and we still "need" things for baby M's room. I asked DH to take some pics of my belly with DS and photo shop them...if they come out ok i will post...its always something right?!

Woah! How is your mortgage going up so much? Do you have an adjustable rate? I would think it would go down with the crappy economy. Sorry to hear that.

Oh I'm so behind on these posts! I just looked at your photographer's website...her pictures are so pretty! I'm jealous. You'll have to share once you get them done. Is she one that will let you buy a copyright-released CD of your images? Now I REALLY want to have some done! I'll have to search for places in GA or North FL.

no we dont....its because they projected our 2008 escrow and taxes based on the year before and that year it was assessed as farm land...its a brand new subdivision...so they were short....so now they need to make up that money and have enough for this year...im sending a letter to spread out the payments over a longer term then 12 months...we cant afford that, at least not now...and my daycare told me shes taking the summer off! who does that?! ARGH!

UUgh!!! I'm sorry to hear ur mortgage problems too, how could anyone afford to hav that happen??!!!??

Perhaps I'll try to take the maternity photos myself with my timer. I've got a good camera and a tripod...I can't wait to see all of yours though!

That sucks about the re-assessment. I think it's really shady they can do stuff like that, especially all at once without warning. I hope your request to spread it out works. Good luck!
