Resolutions for 2009
Hey Ladies,
I thought a New Years Resolution would be fun...
So far I have:
1) Use the word Snarky more often.....(Thanks Sarina)
2) Get my chubby behind up and active after I birth this child
3) Prepare healthy meals for the whole family
3a) Follow Weight Watchers for the ENTIRE year...don't slack and give up in April - LOL.
4) Take Vitamins EVERY single day after I am done with my prenatals
5) Take lots of pictures of Avery so she doesn't feel left out later in life since we have a Katrillion pictures of Olivia
I think that is all I have so far...

Also thinking of resolutions:
1) I second the getting my behind up and moving after the baby gets here
2) Sticking to a grocery budget but still eating well
3) Spending more time outside, especially in the garden
4) Being more of a grown up when it comes to cleaning the house , I am the supreme manipulative empress of cleaning procrastination

Re: Resolutions for 2009
I hate doing these, because I always brake them, but a couple I really need to do.
1)Have sex with dh at least once a week, only to help my cervix for dilating in March
2)Head back to the gym in April at least 2 nights a week
3)Eat healthy
4)Clean more...if I have time with 4 kids

Have sex once a week? How about once a day? that would be a good goal! DH and I got reconnected one day and enjoy it as much as we can. We are long overdue for it. If he didnt have to get up early today we would have been playing it last night.. Hopefully after his big V we can enjoy it more often without worries. hehe
Re: Resolutions for 2009
This might seem selfish but:
Take more time for myself! (I tend to take on the majority of family responsibilities and need to start delegating)
Some form of exercise everyday
Feed myself healthy food
Spend more time with friends
More spa days
I feel that if I can take care of myself (because no one else is doing it!) then I can be a happier mom and wife!

If I could once a day dh would be on clud 9. We have not since Dec 20th. I just am not in the mood with pregnancy at all. I was all for it last night but of course he took forever to come to bed. He said well I am use to not getting any so I just played play station. I told him tonight for sure and he said yeah I will be ready, but will you???

Re: Resolutions for 2009
I was laughing out loud at the "Sex once a Week" and my DH was like "what are you laughing at?"....he thinks once a day sounds like a good idea to him. DREAM ON PAL.
And Shannon - I am with you, I need to make more time for myself, not sure how that will happen with a newborn and a Toddler and a job, but I need to try. My DH has no problem riding 1-2 days during the week and going for a 3-4 hour ride on the weekends, I need to take that time for myself too, I just never want to give up my Olivia time. During stuff during the week in the evenings unless its after 7pm always means not seeing her, because she goes to bed so early, its hard to run errands after work, or meet friends for drinks and an early dinner. So we usually have girls night in our neighborhood one night a month and it starts at 7pm so most can put their little ones to bed...but its not enough.

Re: Resolutions for 2009
I'm glad someone started this one...I thought about it, but if I don't write down my thoughts...well, blame it on the pregnancy brain! Here are mine for the year (hopefully):
1. I like the "sex once a week....why not once a day" resolution...but realistically I've decided 3x a week at the very least, at least once with me initiating. Hmmmm...we'll see.
2. Be more patient not only with my kids & hubby, but just in general. I don't know if it's the hormones or what, but I can snap at the tiniest things lately (like socks on the floor or water spilling at the table).
3. Go on more dates with my hubby--or at least prepare a special meal and serve it after the kids are in bed...I really need to treasure my DH more and show him how much I appreciate/love him
4. Be more intentional about being in touch with people (even though we live in Peru) and staying in touch throughout the year
5. LOSE ALL the weight I've gained by being deliberate about working out and eating right!!
I'm sure there are more I could think of, but those were the ones on my mind today!
