The Old NBBC March 2009 board
Does anyone still post or lurk on there? I was curious and poked my face over there to find a mom who delivered her baby already because her water broke during the Big U/S. It was so sad to read. I was wondering if anyone had read over there and knew what else was going on..
Re: The Old NBBC March 2009 board
I peek in every day and yesterday a woman gave birth at 22 weeks and her son passed. He was just too little. It broke my heart so I stopped reading. There are just no words. That was the second on the March board that I saw.
I get tired of seeing the same questions on there over and over and it's so huge that you can't form any kind of bond with the women there. I like it here much more!

That's awful.
I decided that as the boards I go to on old bbc either die down or else get switched to read only, then my bbc days will be over. I've been there since the summer of 2000. I just don't like the nbbc and won't be going over there.

There are a few women that have lost their babies recently over there, and it breaks my heart. I check NBBC often, but it's not the same as here. I check here like every 10 seconds, hoping for new posts!

It's so sad... I think there have been two ladies over there that have lost their little ones.. if I'm not mistaken. I only lurk there a few times a week.. But my thoughts & prayers are definitely with those ladies.

oh wow, that is SO sad!
I can't really imagine sharing such a personal experience on a big board where it seems like a majority of people are strangers...
I have pretty much stopped going to the bbc boards now - no extra time since the job started.

I visit on a pretty regular basis but I agree it's not navigation-friendly. Having to scroll pages to find posts...And yes the group is so large that it does make it much harder to connect.
Re: The Old NBBC March 2009 board
I check the NBBC from time to time but nothing ever interests me there, it so big. I did not read about the women that lost the babies. That is so sad that I don’t think that any word could help in a situation like that.

Re: The Old NBBC March 2009 board
I check in there once a day and browse through the posts for the day. Actually there have been 3 women who have lost their babies. One lady lost a little girl in December and got pregnant again with twins and lost both, she actually has a seperate page that she posts on daily to give updates. That one was really sad and I have to say her story made me cry for hours and not only that but she almost died as well. Then the other two ladies had no fluids and the sac wasn't replenishing itself and they both lost theirs, but I do know they both had children already where the other lady doesn't have any... Not that it makes it any easier!!! One of the ladies posted and she had like 35 pages... YIKES!! Imagine having to get caught up on that if you don't check in for a few days... Oh well, I love it here and I feel that this group of ladies are definately closer than the NBBC and not only that but it is a very warm feeling that I get when I come on here compaired to going on there. Does anyone else get that feeling??

Re: The Old NBBC March 2009 board
I like it here better too. I look over at NBBC when there isn't much action here, but then I always come back because I know there will be new posts that I can relate too. There are so many repeats over there, and I think it's mostly because with over 1500 people posting, a brand new thread can be on page 3 or 4 in minutes after it's been posted.
I do read some of the random postings over there to pass time when I don't feel like working, but I'm too nervous to actually post. I post on some of the subgroups occasionally, but not a ton. Thanks for being here ladies!

This board is so much better and friendlier! I hope we never get to the point of the drama that happens a lot after a birth board has been together for a while. It is almost predictible on bbc when that will happen.
I love it here!

Oh, that's so sad
Does anyone know if her water broke because of the ultrasound?? Or for other reasons??
My ultrasound tech was jabbing at my belly pretty hard last week, it's still sore >.<

It sounds like it was a coincidence. And then her doctors wouldn't admit her or consider injecting more fluid until she hit 23 weeks. Unfortunately, her little boy couldn't wait that long. I can't even imagine.
Re: The Old NBBC March 2009 board
That is so sad, once you think you are out of danger and then something like that happens. We need to keep those ladies in our thoughts for sure! I haven't gone on OBBC since the link started sending me to NBBC...I'm not even sure how to get back there, but I enjoy this new board so much better I don't think I want to even check it out. I have been gone for almost a month, it's nice to be back and see some familiar names/faces and hear how everyone is doing.

I havent been able to get on in a while but I am glad that everyone is enjoying themselves here. I am also greatful that for the most part we are all healthy and the high risk friends on here are getting closely monitored. We have been fortunate on our little group. I am so glad we are all here supporting each other and happy with how the forum is going so far.
Cheers to healthy babies and mommies!
