Major Dizziness? Empty Major Dizziness?

Post  sds1arm2 Wed Nov 19, 2008 6:26 pm

Hi there!

Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same thing? Yesterday, at about 2:30, I started feeling quite dizzy. I had eaten lunch and even a snack so I really don't think it is blood sugar related. I was so dizzy I felt like my eyes were crossing. I stayed this way until I went to bed.
This morning I woke up feeling fine, but at about 10:30, the same thing happened again. Once again, I ate a big breakfast so I don't think it is blood sugar related. Just incase, I decided to have a snack to see if it would help me feel less dizzy-it did not!
I have not called me OB as I am trying to narrow it down to what the cause is. Anyone else having major dizzy spells?

I haven't been very dizzy since the very beginning.
Is it accompanied by a headache???
Don't try to narrow it down urself, call the doc... be safe!

Nope, no headache or anything. My doctor constantly wants to send me to the hospital every time I call with something. I have already been sent twice for a migraine headache (which I have a history of). They sent me for fluids, oxygen and meds.

Well I uderstand that u don't want to be sent to the hospital for no reason. Some women do experience alot of dizziness etc.... throughout their whole pregnancies, hopefully this stops... Do u have an appt soon? maybe bring it up to him... also maybe since the baby is getting bigger now and pressing on nerves and whatever else maybe that could make u dizzy.

Hey in the book "What to Expect when you are Expecting", month 6 says "Occasional headaches, faintness or dizziness is normal. It doesn't go into any detail but just says it is normal. I do get dizzy when I get up or change positions to fast. I also get short of breath some times. Hope this helped some.

Interesting...i wonder if it has to do with this time of the pg. I was checking posts this am and got very dizzy where i had to lay against my bed for a second then it happened again. That was even after i ate. I think nothing of it.. Interesting to see everyone else seeing similar issues.

I was half way up the stairs today when I got dizzy. I had to sit down. I think it is just the change in our bodies.
