Girl Name Help Please....

So ladies...we are committed to using Emerson, as either a first name or a middle name, but we are struggling with a final name.

Here were our options, but now we are starting from scratch...

Delaney Emerson, we'd likely call her Laney
Emerson Barrett
Laine Emerson
Hadley Emerson
Greer Emerson
Avery Emerson
Carrigan/Karrigan Emerson

Our DD's name is Olivia, so we want to make sure they sound okay together. Emerson is a family name, and we love it, we just aren't sure whether its a better first name or middle name, and we love the idea of using Barrett since its the surname of a close family friend who just passed away, but we are afraid its too gender neutral and she won't be feel "girlie"...but will she really care? How often are middle names use? And should I care that Barrett rhymes with my DD's middle name?

Okay that was long winded, but you can see why I need your help Please please please weigh in...

I love the name Avery Emerson. Avery was one of our names on the list, but then we decided to go with Makenzie. Good luck!!

We love it too, its probably our top name, HOWEVER there is a little girl at my DD's daycare who is named Avery Turner (that is our last name), so that annoys me and Avery is one of my good friends favorite names as well, so I would kinda be stealing her name, but not really since I had told her I liked it a while ago, but we didn't think we would use it...

I also vote for Avery Emerson. I think you should name your child what you want, regardless of other people you know. Life is a long time and she's guaranteed to know someone else that shares her name at some point in time. Don't let that deter you. I actually enjoy meeting fellow Jennifers. It takes nothing away from me and it's one less name I have to remember! hahaha

I agree with PPs. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Avery Emerson AND Emerson Avery. They are so cute and delicate! Name your baby what YOU want..

I really like Emerson Barrett... it's unique without being way out there, and I think it's a cool name for a girl. Also like Hadley and Avery a lot.

Carrigan Emerson would be too much of a mouthful for my taste. And Greer just doesn't do it for me, personally, but hey Brooke Shields likes it!! :-)

I like Avery. That was one of my names on my girl list. I would not worry about the daycare girl with the same name. If they are not in the same class no big deal.

Barrett is out for me only because that is my aunt's last name, and she has 4 boys. I could not see a little girl with that name.
