This may be stupid but I am wondering if you can dilate without feeling any contractions? I know you can have contractions, and not feel them. Also...what's up with all the vag pressure? Does that have anything to do with dilating? I have so much pressure down there and I am going for my 36 week appt. on Tuesday. I just wonder if there is anything exciting going on down there. Thanks for any feedback!

I honestly have no idea - HA. Big help I am huh?

I know that I never really felt contractions with Olivia (until they hooked me to Pitocin) and I was 2cm when they induced me. And I am 2cm now, and have felt some, but I thought I had been contracting a lot last week and had no change, so I have no idea. I know that a few of the girls on the board who were on anti-contraction meds are still at 0cm, but were contracting a ton...

Does that help at all? HA.

Why does it have to be such a mystery? For goodness sakes we go through so much for almost a whole year and down to the last moments we have no idea what to expect!

Yeah, wouldn't it be nice if our stomachs started blinking GREEN or something like that so we knew it was GO TIME...

That would be great for people who like to plan! I am tired of visualizing every possible scenario in my mind. Every few minutes I wonder, ok, if it happens now what am I going to do.
