Labor has begun... Empty Labor has begun...

Post  SequoiaAutumn Sat Feb 14, 2009 8:57 pm

I am hoping that it sticks now! Today after a nice hot shower, dh and i dtd. We put Grayson to sleep and left for the mall. We walked and walked around. I got an ice cream but really wanted my brownie sundae...just wasnt paying $5 for it! lol Then we went to Target, got a few things, then drove home. All the way home contractions were 3min apart. So i got out the Contraction Master web site and have been timing them for 30 min.. they range from 2min-3min apart and 30-50 seconds. I can walk and talk through them so i know its only first stage.. I also know it can stop at any time. So dh said we can dtd again after the kids go to bed. cheers

Happy Valentines Day!

HOLY MOLY, you crack me up. You are one motivated pregnant woman, DTD while contracting, I can't say I have thought about doing that.

Keep us posted!!! And make sure you have your board buddy info with you when you head to the hospital Smile We'll be thinking about you, for crying out loud, now I won't be able to sleep....who am I kidding, I haven't been able to sleep in weeks....

That is so exciting! I'll be thinking about you and can't wait for an update. I am impressed that you can still DTD even while contracting. I can barely get motivated to do that now and I feel fine. Good luck and keep us posted!

If the contractions stick.. we most likely will not be DTD. I'll keep ya'all posted. If I decide to go to the hospital I will post it. Basketball

April~ I feel for you! I was contracting like crazy yesterday and then it has subsided today. I still have them but not as consistent. Like you said, it is the starting of the first phase of labor. All those contractions are doing something at least. Keep moving and doing your thing. She will be here soon!

How exciting!!! It's great that you have the knowledge and experience to know when to go to the hospital. I would have headed in at 4 minutes apart! I can't wait to hear more about how it progresses.

I'm sorry they stopped, but at least you can get them started again! I haven't even had BH yet, so still a ways to go for me. Stupid end-of-the-month due date... Wink

I'm in the same boat. I contracted all day friday...and it was even getting painful friday nite after dtd. I laid down to rest and they spaced out. Yesterday I was contracting but not as consistantly so we went to eat sushi last nite for our V-tines date. The contractions have picked up again this morning....I am making DH take me to the mall because by God we are having a baby today! LOL Two days of early labor is enough!

Well Good Morning Everyone! Not that great.. I am sort of bummed... I had on and off contractions all night. If I had any more energy in me we would have DTD but i was SO freeking tired and sore from walking all that i did i couldnt do it. So i went to bed, slept like crap..but what else is new.. and now im up.. Im feeling fine.. no contractions.. but baby is healthy and i guess it will happen soon enough. 16 days till my due date...

Thanks for the well wishes all.. This is only the begining!

Sorry they stalled out on you! I'm with Lisa....no BH, no signs whatsoever. Which I SUPPOSE is a good thing since we aren't due until the end of March...but DARN IT, y'all are making me jealous with this contraction-inducing sex talk! Rolling Eyes

Post  curls82 Mon Feb 16, 2009 1:28 am

Silly, silly, contractions.....I've been having them since Dec (when I went into preterm labor) and have been on meds every 6 hours to control them. Well, even w/ the meds, I've been having contractions at least every 3 min. for hours at a time for months. So, my dr. said that when I got off the meds, we should be having our baby very soon. Well, I quit taking my medicine about 2 weeks ago....and while I still contract all the time...I swear they've slowed down...not picked up!! and I'm still not dialated!! What are the odds of that?! ha. We see the dr. tomorrow though (every Mon) and we're going to talk about inducing me in 2 weeks...that would put us at 37 wks. She flipped last week but still has the cord around her neck 2x so we'd like to get her out before she's breech again and before that stinkin cord causes any problems! I'll keep ya updated.

Curls.. That sounds like a great plan! I'd say have baby now so she doesnt have a chance to flip. Cant wait to hear how today goes.
