Sophia & I are HOME!!!!!!!!

Yay, after being in the hospital all week long, Sophia and I finally came home yesterday!!!! I went and read through your posts after Sarina had passed on the news of us having a girl and I was crying at all the sweet comments you all made! Thank you sooo much!! I missed you all this past week and am looking forward to catching up and of course posting some pictures of my sweet princess!! I still can't believe it's a "she"...in fact, I keep slipping up and saying "he" every once in awhile! I will try to post pics today and also tell a bit of her arrival into this world. Thanks so much for your sweet thoughts, and thanks Sarina for updating everyone!

I've been thinking about you all week. I was even telling my husband, "she's having her baby tomorrow." He was like, "Who?" haha. But I'm glad you're back home and everything went well. Of course we can't wait to see all her sweet little pictures! A girl, how special! I can't imagine not knowing what I was having. I'm such a surprise spoiler But it's fun to watch all of you find out!!

I love that your husband was updating your Facebook, it was adorable! I was keeping track of him and the boys and their adventures while you and Sophia were resting and healing in the hospital. I can't imagine the joy you must have felt when they announced "SHE" had arrived. I got chills just thinking about you and then when I saw the post from Sarina I had to calm myself down before I could actually click on it and open it. It gave me inspiration to have a "Surprise" baby one of these days, but then I reminded myself that I am the craziest TYPE A personality you have ever met and I would likely kill myself before I could handle the surprise! HA.

Can't wait to see more pictures of that lil' darling...

Leigh--I am extremely type A personality...and I really hate surprises!! I don't know how I did it, but to see the look on DH face when we heard her cry and then he said, "It's a girl"....I would do it again!!! We were both crying!! He wanted a little girl so bad and so I'm very thankful he got it---especially because I also had my tubes tied...so she's it for us!!

I am also very type A. I couldn't wait to find out with all the other kids. But after I had my last, I felt like I had missed out on something special. So this time, from the moment I suspected I was pg, I decided it would be a surprise. Going into it, saying it would be a surprise, really helped with the "needing" to know and plan ahead of time. At each u/s, I just told myself it will be well worth it and if I did find out I'd end up kicking myself for it.

To deal with my need to plan, I bought unisex gear. But then I bought boy bedding (am reusing the girl bedding), both boy & girl clothes, and unisex sleepers. I also got both a boy & a girl baby book. Granted it was more money upfront, but I'll be doing some returns so it will be ok.

Leigh, if you do decide to have another child, go for the surprise...you can do it!
