Update - Induction!!! - Good grief!!!

So I went today for the ultrasound to determine Owen's size. You guys aren't going to believe this...he's measuring 9 lbs, 3 oz already!!! That's 40 weeks, 6 days. Hello?!? Yikes! They said they're usually only off by an ounce or two, so that means one big boy! The specialist put a call into my OB (I did too...no way I was taking a chance that they forgot to call or put it off a day or so), and hopefully I'll hear from him tomorrow morning and hopefully he'll say we're a go for inducing on Friday. The specialist, however, said that they won't induce until 39 weeks...that's a whole week away!!! He'll be huge by then! Please, please, please keep your fingers crossed. I lost my plug on Sunday (with blood and all) and keep thinking it'll be any minute. I'm only 5'4" and feel like I'm literally going to explode!

Wendy, WOW!!! Are you dilated at all? I know it doesn't always matter but it might help that you'll go before next week! Sex it up girlfriend.

OMG that's big! I did have a friend who was told her baby was over 10 lbs and he ended up being a little over 7, so they can be off sometimes, but it's probably best not to chance it. Good luck!

Wendy, I hear you!!! I am huge and they are wanting me to wait TWO more WEEKS!!! I am almost SURE that we are going to have some BIG boys!!!! I am calling my Dr. tomorrow to see about being induced Monday... that would be 40 weeks for me. I will keep my fingers crossed for you!!!!

We might have a contender for the biggest baby! I have been told that I will have at least a 10 lber. We will see. It sure feels like it and looks like it! I am going in a week early for a c/s so he might be a little smaller than that. Hope that you go into labor early!

The doctor just called and I'm going in tonight to be induced at 5 AM tomorrow!!!!! WOOHOO!!!! Now I can't decide if I should take a nap or clean the house

My sister was barely 5 foot, I think she was 4'11" and she gave birth to a 10 lb baby, so it all depends how ur are down there - I guess.

I'm so terrible...I know I should be napping, but I've got so much to do! I've already - vaccumed, swept, mopped, dusted, done a couple of loads of laundry and sent DH to the store I still want to change our bed sheets (something about coming home to clean sheets that makes me happy) and give DD a bath before taking her to my MIL's house. I think if I stop, I'll either pass out and sleep through my induction or cry. I'm so sentimental right now!

Will you have time to nap once you're done with all the cleaning? I know what you mean about coming home to a clean house and clean sheets, but you ARE about to have a baby! You need all the energy you can get. BEST OF LUCK!!

Good Luck. To ease your mind a bit they told me Dylan was over 10lbs on a Tuesday. Wanted to induce me that night, but we could not for some reason. So we waited till Friday morning. He came out at 8lbs 8oz. So they were way off. So he may not be that big.....fingers crossed for you.

i spent the entire day before my induction cleaning/laundry etc. i was too excited/nervous to sleep. i figured worse case doing all the cleaning i would go into labor! i totally understand what u r doing.
