Baby Clothes Empty Baby Clothes

Post  mini*van*mama Thu Jan 29, 2009 3:06 pm

So I just spent the last hour going through all my baby outfits and sleepers. I have more than thought. I kept some things in case my sil had another baby. Then found out they were down so I stopped saving.

So I have:

Sleepers
0/3=13
3/6= 5
6/9=3

Outfits
0/3=13
3/6=4
6/9=3

4 pair of socks
7 burps rags
bibs coming out my butt

So I am in a little bit better shape than I thought for clothes. Some stuff I had I forgot all about.

Then I wanted to share this shirt. Incase you can't read it:I CRY OVER SPILT MILK! I think that is just super cute.

I too have BIBS coming out the WAZOO...its unreal.

I went through Olivia's clothes to see what would work for Avery, a few things will work if she is on the big size, if she is smaller or comes early we might be a tad bit SCREWED, because everything that will work for her is all 3 Months...which was fine for Olivia, but not so fine for a normal size newborn Smile

I did a load of wash last night and just remembered that its still in there, I forgot to move it to the dryer - NUTS. I guess I will have to rewash it.

My friend from work had a February baby girl last year so she brought a lot of her stuff, I have a TRILLION sleep sacks, including the ones I had for Olivia...she might be naked under them but she has the sacks to sleep in Smile

LOL about the laundry!! I've done that too many times to count! I too, made a checklist of what I have for the baby...I'm going good on 0-3 month stuff and so-so on 3-6 month stuff....after about 6 months I'll have a naked baby on my hands unless I start doing some shopping! Since we don't know the gender, I figure I needed to have enough 0-3 mo stuff and then can shop gender appropriately for the rest.

What is the suggested number of outfits and sleepers for these age groups. At my shower, I got tons of 0-3 stuff- and I think I may need to return/exchange for another size. I am not washing anything yet- but if anyone knows what is enough- let me know.

I think it all depends on how often you want to do laundry. Everyone prepared me to change Olivia's outfit 2-3 times a day when she was a newborn because of spit up and leaky diapers...well for her that RARELY happened, she could have slept in the same outfit she wore all day for 2-3 days in a row if it wasn't for me wanting to change her clothes all the time. Its hard because they grow so quickly so you don't want to have too much of one size, I had a lot of outfits Olivia never wore, but she wore her sleep n play/PJ outfits all the time, and probably could have used more of those.

Hmmm I have to look in my closet for this one...

sleepers - 0/3 - 4 dress type 4 button up
3/6 - 4 button ups

outfits- 0/3 -14 including dresses
3/6 - 12 " "
6/9 - 10 summer
12 - jacket and cousins hammy downs.. no count just huge bag

Onsies- 0/3 - 5
3/6 - 5
6/9- 3

socks -6 newborn
hair stuff
3 bibs
3 newborn shoes that go with outfits
2 sweaters
2 newborn hats with mittens
1 winter hat
3 recieving blankets
2 heavy blankets
hooded bath towel

Wow i have a lot more then i thought. I dont think i have too much. She most likely will one thing 2x and outgrow it. I also got a matching boppy pillow, diaper bags, hmm thats it.. I still need a few more things other then diapers. But that can wait a bit. I changed my "due date" on my Target registry to Jan 31st so after that i can save the 10% plus another 10% from AAA and i have a $25 gift card.

Really smart thinking!! I think I will do that as well. Except I'll change my 'due date' to March 8th, which is my shower, so I dont have to wait until AFTER Aniras comes to get the 10% off the "missed" items. Hopefully it doesn't confuse anyone..lol.

Thanks lady!! Very Happy
