So Olivia has been sick since the Monday before Christmas, was running a fever of 104 and it finally turned into Bronchitis, even while feeling terrible she couldn't stop running around so in order to get her to sit still we started letting her watch TV, specifically onDemand Baby Genius Nursery Rhyme shows. Now she is addicted. She runs and gets the remote, brings it to me and says "Dee-Dee", which to her means TV. Sometimes we still have to use it to get her to sit still, but she shouldn't be watching as much TV as she is. The good news is when she goes back to daycare on Monday she won't be watching any, so I am hoping that breaks her new TV addicted routine. I am hoping I can break her on my own, but I just don't feel like a huge battle...

Poor baby! Is she feeling better now? Chalk the tv watching up to Christmas break and I'm sure that daycare will help to break the habit. It could be worse, she could want to watch Teletubbies instead of Baby Einstein. At least that is educational!

That is what I am hoping...the funniest part is she knows which button to hit on the remote to make onDemand start up and when she sees the Welcome to Comcast message she dances around like a crazy person, its comical, yet scary Smile

HEEHEE I love it! DeeDee Monster! They are smart little things and pick up stuff quick! Grayson knows how to push play on the DVD, opens/closes the DVD player, puts a VCR tape in to watch Elmo's World but mostly loves to watch Signing Time. His words are MeMeMe which means.. read to me! lol

I am happy that Olivia is getting better! The two weeks that my son has been out of school has consisted of TV, playing the Wii, Nintendo Ds and probably more tV. I have been so tired that I can't even get my butt out the door for some fresh air. I never let him sit and veg out like this but like you said, back to school next week!

Sometimes the tv is just inevitable, it happens. If she's back into her daycare routine next week, at least you can feel better about it. At least you chose something beneficial for her to watch!

You know, you do need to video tape your little Dee-Dee monster!
