I'm so impatient!

So I just called and scheduled an ultrasound at one of the 3d/4d places for Sunday. I'll be right at 16 weeks and I just can't wait 4 more weeks to find out!!! They're running a special...gender determination for $75. I just sold my DD old crib bedding for that on Craigs List, so I figured I broke even! Wooooohoooo, I can't wait until Sunday!!!!

you're so lucky... the place here charges $139 for the same thing...plus an extra $50 because I'm having twins.... boo! I can afford it but I don't see the point in spending almost 200, when I'll be finding out in less than 2 weeks

Oh man, I saw your post and then decided to see what my local place was doing. $50 for a 15 min ultrasound at 16 weeks that will tell me the gender. I can't wait!! I'm so glad you posted this because I never would have known that I could do this. Plus, I'm like you - I just can't wait until 20 weeks!

I want to do that too, but not for gender determination (we want to be surprised). If I don't end up with a good picture from the 3D u/s at the hospital (for my level 2) then my dh agreed to go to one of the u/s centers. I just want some nice pictures!

DH is being generous.. He said i can have mine on Sunday evening. They had emailed me with the date and time but i didnt respond back because he wasnt on board with me. So hopefully they email me back to confirm. Its a 2D for $75 min of 5 pictures 38 min away. Not bad.

Shoot I did my 2D for 25$.....Of couse the place was 30 min away but soooo worth it!

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who's so impatient! I feel kinda bad spending the money since DH has been out of work for a couple of months, but I JUST CAN'T WAIT!!! Good luck girls. We'll need to update each other as soon as we have it done!

Wendy...I totally copied you and called a place in my city yesterday. I went today! She told me she is 90% sure its a girl!

What do you girls think? Are you going to believe it, if they tell you early?

Congrats Krista! Baby girls are awesome. We found out today that we're HAVING A BOY!!!! There was absolutely NO DOUBT! Woohoo, we're going to have a baby Owen!

I saw the ultra sound pics before I saw what the tech said it was, and I said to myself, "It's a girl!". Congratulations! I see the "three white lines" that I did with my dd.

I really want to find out soon too, but I have to wait until 18-22 weeks at the place that is closest to me, and that's when I will get one from the doctor. Congratulations to everyone who is finding out!

Thanks for posting your u/s pics... and congrats on your LO's!!

I thought I'd post the link to the in-gender forum where the mommies look at posted u/s pics and give their interpretations/confirmations/comments... it's http://www.in-gender.com/cs/forums/95.aspx . I posted my 12.5 week photo (the one in my ticker), and it was fun to get their feedback... a couple of the ladies (CharlieCat in particular) are u/s techs, so they have a ton of experience.

If you want to post there, just let them know how many weeks & days your LO is in the pic. You can tell them what your tech told you, or don't and let them give their own read to see if they match up. Just be sure your personal info is blacked out/cropped out for your privacy protection.

I will go back and post my nub shot in the "confirmed" thread once it's confirmed... not scheduled til Nov. 10 (21 wk 2 days!!), so now am thinking about seeing if there's a $25 version I can get here sooner.

I'm wondering if you could tell me where I even begin to look for one of these places where you can pay for gender determination??? I live in CNY, willing to travel for it, since I've got to wait until November for my "big u/s" with my DR.

Where do I find these places???

Google "prenatal ultrasound" along with your location/city, and you should find places. I've just been looking in cities near me... pricing is cheaper in bigger markets where there's more competition... I have found 2D gender determinations priced $50-$99 so far.

Oops, looks like I started something But I'm so excited for everyone! Krista, definitely looks like a girl to me! Compare our two and you can definitely tell the difference. Plus my DDs ultrasound looked like yours. Sarina, I had a 4D one done at 33 weeks with DD, so I just went to their website, but I'm sure you can do a google search for "3d ultrasound" and include your city or area and it'll give you a listing.
