Strange Discomfort- Sitting Too Much?
For the first time last night I felt this weird, uncomfortable downward pressure like the baby has moved in place of my bladder towards the front of my stomach. I woke up this morning and felt fine, but after sitting on my butt for awhile at the computer the same pressure started again. It also happened riding in the car on the way to the grocery store.
For the past week, I have been sitting for the majority of the day either working on my graduate thesis at the computer or tutoring. Could it be that I am sitting to much and forcing the baby down into my lower belly? I have no bleeding, no scary symptoms of anything else...just the feeling that I am carrying the baby way, way uncomfortably down in front. It goes away if I lay on my left side for an hour or so.
Has anyone else had this? Do you think I should call my dr. oncall or wait for Mon? I am honestly getting kind of nervous about it.

Dont worry! I feel it all the time because through both of my pregnancys they tend to sit really low! Baby is just getting big enough for you to feel them down there. Pretty soon baby is going to be in your ribs and you will long for the time they fit so low.

Especially before I started to feel the baby moving recognizably, I had lots of weird pains down low when sitting. I think it was Peanut pushing and straining against the walls down low... I asked the doc about it, and he (being his usual smartass self) said, "what else does he have to do in there?"
I don't feel that sensation as frequently now... maybe because the uterus has expanded upward quite a bit in the last couple weeks.

I wouldn't worry about it. I feel the same way everyday. I sit down all day because of my job and it's not good on you to sit all day.

I feel it all the time too, I have a really short torso so I think I will be feeling it my whole pregnancy. Its such an awkward feeling, almost like he is kicking my cervix trying to get out ! LOL I know he is not, but it is very uncomfortable. I joked to my DH that I might start each morning standing on my head to try to get the baby to move up more!

My baby is so low that I actually can feel her in my butt. I thought I was crazy until I asked my ultrasound tech and she said not that the baby is so low that when she moves her head I will feel it in my butt.

Thanks everyone for your responses! I feel so much better . This is my first and I have no idea what is "normal" or concerning. A guess a little paranoia is better than none at all. Thanks again
