WTF is wrong with people?

I dont know why I can't NOT read the NBCCS boards. I get so aggravated...but I keep looking there. So people are now starting to talk about being dilated and effaced. A girl asked if she is 37 weeks and 1 cm how long should it be. This was one of the responses....

Ok, how many of these posts do we have to endure before the
answer "THERE IS NO WAY TO TELL HOW SOON YOU WILL GO INTO LABOR" gets
through to everyones head? Seriously I think I have seen 6 of these
today alone.


Seriously??? I can not imagine EVER talking to anyone like that...especially a complete stranger. Why do people feel that because they are hidden behind a computer they can be rude or hurtful? The other thing has been people expressing diappointment that they didnt get things off their registry and instead got things that are not what they need. Times are rough for everyone. Having a baby is expensive. Yes gifts at a shower are free and appreciated, but people can still be disappointed if they got a million blankets and no bottles, or practical things they need, and may not have the money to buy. Anytime any one ever talks about that they are told how ungreatful they are, and how this is the millionth post about it. Seriously...people are crazy. Don't people go to these boards for support?? K sorry...vent over.

wow, i havent been there since being over there, people can talk a lot of crap thru the net but wouldnt dare say it to someone in person. i dont know what gratification they get from talkin down to people who genuinely need advice...smh

I don't understand people either. I haven't been over there in so long. I know that I would be lost without this site. This is my third around and still ask about things and vent and have never been treated like crap here. THANK YOU LADIES!!!

I tried going over there too just to see if there was anything interesting going on...but I just can't stand how rude the people are to either other! It's so disrespectful and makes me appreciate this board even more!! I am amazed at how well we all get along and how kind everyone is--as hormonal women, we need kindness not to be treated like idiots! Ugh.

I'm so glad that we have our board. We can be honest and frank, but we're never rude or mean. There's just no need for that. It makes me sad that I actually used to like some of the people who posted over there, just to watch them turn so mean. It was giving me high bloodpressure to I had to stop reading!

I go over to that board every now and again just to see if there are any topics of interest. I am often amazed at how rude these women have become but I've noticed there is a specific group of them that tend to be particularly nasty. It certainly makes me appreciate what we have over here and I'm thankful for all of you. You've all been such a great source of support and comfort over the months and I'm am looking forward to sharing the joys of motherhood with all you as well. Thanks!!!!!!!

I totally agree. Thank goodness we have our own board here! I cannot imagine going through any of my pregnancy or the first week without any of you. My first concern after calling my coach, family, and DH was letting you girls know that Alyssa was on the way! I sent a text to Jeni before I called some of my family!!
It is amazing how rude and thoughtless people can be! I am so glad to have all of you!

I also feel very lucky to have such a wonderful group of gals to go through all of this with. I rarely go over there anymore for all the reasons you all have already mentioned.

I go to NBBC to check out their birth announcements. That's all though.

And yes, there is a specific group of women over there that get their kicks by being rude to posters. I wish I was the moderator for that group I would ban those women from the group.

There are so many people on babycenter aka Bitchycenter!! (that was awesome!!! ) That the post fly by so fast maybe that's why iit's not monitored enough!
It's not right.
and I agree, if there is something that soesn't intrest u... skip it and if u can't give nice constuctive criticism - then don't say anything at all!
There really is no reason to be nasty, that's not what we come on the boards for!
