Soaps - do you watch em?

So I know April watches Days of our Lives...

I don't keep up with Soaps at all while I am working, but it feels like it was just yesterday that I was on Maternity Leave with Olivia, and I was able to watch a ton of TV, so I am getting excited about getting hooked again...

Any one else watch Soaps? Which Ones?

I am a big One Life to Live and General Hospital fan...but I am afraid I am going to be so lost come Monday when I can start watching them again. I joked with the labor nurse during Olivia's labor that I just wanted her out before General Hospital started so I could catch up on what was going on.

Yeah when the actors change I get so confused, like "Why is that lady calling him Brady, that isn't Brady", but really it is Brady, I need a roap map.

I watched All My Children from like 8th grade through a few years ago. But then it just got to be too much to keep up with. Every once in a while, I'll get a chance to flip it on, and I'm always shocked at who is married now, who is "dead", all the fun stuff. But even sadder is that it only takes a day or two to figure out what's going on, like I never missed a beat! I doubt I'll go back to a full-time watcher, but who knows?

I watch One Life To Live...I watch it whenever I'm home! And often at night if there is nothing on from 9-10 (it's on Soapnet!) So we can chat about Todd, Blair, John and Marty! Good stuff!!!

I watched Days of Our Lives from the time I was in 6th grade through high school (yes, a million years ago!!), and the thing I find really creepy is that the characters are still on, and they look the SAME as they did 20+ years ago!!! Bo, Hope, Marlana and the gang... I mean, these people are the ultimate poster children for plastic surgery!!!!!!!!!!!

It boggles my mind.

I watch AMC and OLTL. I DVR them every single day just in case I am gone. LOL

i used to watch days...until marlena got the devil in her...then, that was pretty much enough for me. Now, I watch AMC (I say "my kids are on").

I'm glad there are some AMC fans out there, just in case I get sucked back in and need background that I've missed over the past few years.

I have been watching Days since 1982. I was twelve when I started. I agree that everyone looks the same or even better. Kayla looks so young. I don't watch regularly anymore because I am watching kids and too busy on this board. It is easy to catch up, though. I will probably watch more when I have the baby and am not working. I feel like I am constantly trying to catch up on the night shows that I DVR and watch during the day when I can. I just caught up on the Bachelor and American Idol right now.

OLTL: I wish they would close this Marty/Blair/John story line. It annoys me. I am also not liking the David/Dorian Buchannon story line.

When I am home (i.e., over the summer) I watch OLTL and Guiding Light. Of course, it takes me the ENTIRE summer to catch up on what in heaven has been going on in the last 9 months....so it's really completely pointless! Also, I don't know if anyone else watches Guiding Light...but that ridiculous "live shoot" looking camera work they switched to last year is atrocious...and REALLY getting on my nerves!

I watched AMC and OLTL from the time I was a pre-teen through about 9 years ago. Just couldn't keep up with it while working full time and having a long commute. Is Vicky/Nicky still on OLTL?? I'd surely be beyond lost now!

Vicky is still on...but she is integrated. Her daughter, Jessica, also has DID and is a big part of the current stories. Oh, and Addy (Blair's mom) was mysteriously cured and is out of St. Anne's.

So Amy and I are the only ones who watch Days?

Wow I'm sure a lot has changed since the Cord and Tina days...hahaha

Hey is Asa Buchanan still around? Or any of the boy Buchanans?

I don't follow Days anymore... it comes on when I'm home for lunch, so it's background. I leave NBC on for the dogs during the day... so they are the ones hooked on all the daytime shows!

The Buchanan Boys is an interesting story line these days...and Asa just died in real-life a few days ago, my DH pointed it out to me on Yahoo (HAHAHAH), but there is a lot of drama about David Vickers being Asa's long lost son. I love that Rex and Gigi are dating in real life. Jessica's story line drives me bonkers too, too much "psycho" drama (literally).

The John/Blair/Marty/Todd/Tea Story line drives me bonkers, did you watch today? Good Grief. And David and Dorian, I just want to knock Dorian's block off, she drives me batty. Or as Lisa would say, I want to throttle her (I love that line).

I watch Days sometimes, but I am lost, so many new young characters. What is the deal with Sammy? Why isn't EJ in love with her anymore? And Lucas just got "dumped" for Daniel the Doctor?

Sammy had a baby the same day this girl Mia did. Mia was giving her baby to Nicole for adoption. Nicole switched babies and took Sammys because the baby would be with EJ (father). EJ is still in love with Sammy but wont admit that to Nicole. I dont like Nicole and i hope she gets caught. I like Sammy and is able to find out the truth. She was/is in hiding because of a murderer wanted to kill her. EJ doesnt know that she had his baby. Sammy is falling in love with her private security guard.

Lucus was engaged to Chloe, Chloe had an affair with Daniel, Chloe broke up with Lucus, Lucus had a drink (recovering alchy), Maggie is going to tell Lucus the truth tomorrow cause he had no idea about the affair.

Ok. I am soap mess. Here is my list and my problems....

Days- Love the show, but hate the baby story line. Hate the Bo can see things story line. Love the Sami and FBI guy though. That better go some place.

B&B- That whole show is getting to me. I am going to quite that one for a couple weeks

AMC-I want Annie back to normal and back with Ryan. I want David to leave can not stand him. Jack and Ercia back together.

OLTL-The show is ok, but realy how many murdering story lines do the have to have with John??? Oh and love David Vickers and his funniness. When he put on the cowboy hat yesterday I laughed so hard.

GH- My all time fav. I love me some Jason Morgan. I just wish he would change his contract so he can do more than 3 sex scenes a year.

Y&R-Love it. My number 2 show. I want Nick and Sharon back together!!!! Chloe and Billy to be a happy couple and Lily to join Dru in I am not dead because my body was never found land. I was shocked when they killed Brad off. I knew he was leaving, but why kill him???

I also watch Nip/Tuck, 90210-old one, 90210-new one

I am a Days lover!!!! Have watched it since I was about 6 or 7..how sad is that lol. I DVR it every week and watch it on the weekends. It's sad that they make you like Nicole...and she is going to go down for baby stealing eventually. I can't stand Melanie!!! Ugh..she is such an horrible actor.
