What can you no longer do for yourself?

The Belly Pics thread got me thinking about this. Jamie said she can't cut her own toe nails anymore.

• I can't put my sneakers on and tie them without a fight. I just ask DH to take them off for me at the end of the day now. I've taken to grabbing my pant leg to pull my foot up to my knee!
  
  I can't shave the va-jay-jay and can barely shave my own legs, which I admit to only doing on days I have a doctors appt now.
  
  I can't roll over at night without huffing and puffing. And forget about it if you fall asleep on the couch...I have to roll off the couch to the floor to stand up!
  
  If I drop something onto the floor, it stays there until someone else can pick it up for me. Bending is almost impossible.

LOL - I told my DH last night that rolling over in bed feels like a mack truck trying to make an 18 point turn....

I completely agree with the rolling over in bed! It literally takes my breath away and I end up huffing and puffing to get my breath back. The other night my husband woke up and was like "What's with all the heavy breathing?" I told him I rolled over and he started to crack up, glad it's funny to him.

Rolling over in bed is very hard I end up having to catch my breath!

- I can't sweep my work area at work anymore, because I can't bend over to sweep it into the dust pan.

- I can hardly put my shoes and socks on... forget about my boots!! SO has to help me with that.

- I can still shave, but it's hard...and I've asked SO to start doing it for me..

- And it's honestly hard for me to even wipe myself anymore (TMI)... I can hardly reach over my belly

Christine--I huff and puff going up or down a flight of steps and hubs thinks its funny. Even sitting up sometimes can take it out of you!

I did ask my DH to take my toe nail polish off for me the other day, and I love it when he takes my socks and shoes off at the end of the day, while I can still do it, it feels MUCH better for him to do it, bending over puts pressure on the LO and she kicks me to death to straighten back out.

And my DD loves to dump all of her blocks out on the floor several times a night, so I end up having to sit on the floor to pick them up, I can't bend down anymore to get them, so I just sit on the floor and scoot around to get them.

My dogs ripped apart a stuffed toy last night...there is stuffing all over the living room floor because I couldn't walk around picking it up and hubs was asleep on the couch not feeling well. He gets home from work before me, it BETTER be picked up or war will ensue!

Amazingly i can stll shave.. i cant see a thing so i ask dh to check it over after. I use the blind method and feel around wtih my hand. I shave it completely off. There is nothing better then a clean shavin vagina!

I shave the vajaja blind, DH has a mirror in the shower when he shaves and I think im going to be moving it down lower so i can see what im doing!

Sweeping sucks! But DH bought me a broom for my birthday that is also a vaccum (im a clean freak i know its what I asked for) I LOVE IT. you just sweep up the floor and then it vaccums up the mess so you dont have to bed down!

I havent touched my feet for months! My sister got me a pedicure for Christmas, I think it was a sign that I need to get them done lol.

And rolling over in bed SUCKS! Getting up to pee five times a night SUCKS too!! I might as well just sleep sitting up on the toilet, I think I could catch more zz's that way!

I totally forgot to post this, and it isn't anything that I can't do anymore...but...I noticed the other day that my boobs now rest on my belly and I can hold things with them...up to and including the remote control. Hubs thought that was hysterical and weird all at the same time. I wonder what the weight limit is??? I should keep trying different items! Like a ham sandwich! LMFAO

I cant get myself out of the bathtub anymore. I can only take showers unless DH is around.
I can still shave by braille- but the other day i realized I had missed a whole section for quite a while..and had half a bush growing.
I have to roll myself out of bed and I cant get off the sofa anymore by myself.
I cant walk up a flight of stairs without stopping 3 or 4 times to catch my breath.
I cant fit into my winter boots anymore.
I dont even care about my toenails anymore- because I cant see them.

As mentioned above I can not clip my toe nails or put on or take off nail polish. However I made dh paint them even before I was preggers.

Shave my va-ja-ja. I can clean up around the sides, but I let dh shave it how he wants it now.

Shave my legs is so so. I can do it, but I only do it once every other week, or until my legs get really itchy.

Fit into any of my pants. I have 4 pair left and 2 of them are sweat pants.

Tie my shoes. I can put my socks on if I sit sides ways on my bed, but the gymmers is a no go. So I either wear my clogs or flip flops. Today it was flip flops and it is 32 and snowing

Wiping sucks ass. I can not do it unless I am sitting straight up so a little bit of my belly kinda drops in the toliet.(It does not touch anything in there)

This thread is cracking me up!

I have been neglectful in the shaving maintenance dept...from all angles.

I can still paint my toes, I have to place one leg on one side of the belly...which is almost like doing the splits but with my leg bent...but I can do it.

I can still sweep and use the dust pan, my son is 3 and had a shitload of hotwheels cars, and thomas trains...and they are always on the floor or being kicked under the table or couch. Those I refuse to pick up...DH does it...or gets swept up with the broom.

At work I used to file, but have stopped. If its something that is within reach, I will file it...if it is low to the ground...I toss the file on the floor.

At night, 18 pt turn here too.

LMFAO on lunch break... thanks ladies! I am in agreement with you all... getting off a couch practically requires a crane!! And my nighttime pillow nest has grown to 7 full-size pillows! DH laughs every time I get into bed.

hahahaha....you ladies are so funny....

My dogs also tore up a stuffed animal and I made DH pick up the stuffing because it hurts to bend over.

I have DH get the laundry out of the dryer too.

Shaving blindly and missing spots.

Wiping is a task now.

Rolling over in bed is so hard now and I push myself up by pushing on my DH. He really doesn't like that being that I get up several times a night to pee, lol

Whats really scary is that I have a month and half to go....and I am only getting bigger.....

I am really hoping that the last month means no additional weight gain, a lot of people don't gain a lot the last few weeks, I am hoping that is the case for me, I feel like my skin can't stretch anymore.

And my dog also tore up a toy last night and there is STILL stuffing on the floor, clearly DH didn't pick it up before he came upstairs last night.

I have moved into the Guest Bedroom so we can all sleep better...

Shaving - that reminds me, I will work on that today and report back, legs are still managable, and I was using the blind method for my "region" but I don't know if that will still work....

And I have added a fan to my desk at work, I am DYING of the heat all the time, everyone around me just laughs at me.

My DH has to push my tush off the couch, he gives me a little boost...its funny.

Most of what you ladies can't do, neither can I.

~ Trimming down there. I have been blindly trimming, or else dh will trim it but then he expects something in return.
~ Shaving my legs. Luckily it is wintertime so no shorts! I have gotten pretty bad with this an have only been shaving every other week for my dr appt.
~ Rolling over in bed takes forever and leaves me short of breath.
~ Getting up out of the recliner is a crazy task.
~ If I drop something, I have one of the kids pick it up or it stays on the floor.
~ My dh has to carry the laundry baskets up & down the stairs.

I completely agree with wiping. I've had trouble for weeks now, but it's almost impossible. I was telling DH last night that it was getting tough and he actually asked if I want him to start helping. What a sweetie! But, no...

I've given up on tying my shoes altogether - I bought some slip-on black tennis shoes that I wear to work now.

I haven't tried to shave anything in probably a month now because I can't reach, but it's almost time to give in and do it. I'll let DH help with that.

I am shaving the region there blind. If I miss a spot, I don't care, I have an excuse. I can still shave the legs if I do it in the tub. I can't do it in the shower.
I have resorted to slip on shoes only. It makes life so much easier these days.
My dogs have killed one of their toys and I have stuffing all over the floor. I can't really pick it up comfortably, so I will wait for DD or DH to get it!

I forgot for a while to tidy up down south since I never saw that it needed it, then I caught sight in the mirror and it looked like a 1970's porno! I had DH try, but he was so hopeless that I just gave up and got a wax. I had already decided to wax before the big day. If the whole room is going to be looking at that part of me, I want it looking its best. I was embarrassed when I went in by how unruly it had gotten, but she said they help pregnant women with that task all the time.

I agree about turning over in bed, which is only harder because the extra pillows leave me wedged in so tight. I can't even sleep flat anymore, or little bits of whatever was for dinner will leak into my mouth. It's so gross! Does anyone else have that? My doctor told me to sleep propped up on pillows for the rest of my pregnancy.

Every time I go to the doctor they give me a little stick and tell me to pee on it, but I haven't been able to see the stick for months, so I have to use a cup. I also can't see the scale (that's a blessing, I think!) and my cat doesn't quite fit on my lap anymore when I'm sitting upright.

The saddest part - some of my maternity clothes are now too tight around the belly! I also find it so hard to believe that I will keep growing for two more months...They say the baby gains a pound a week in the last month.

I'm laughing so hard at this post! I agree--I feel like I'm 101 years old with the way I have to try to bend over to get things. I've decided that if it is not within reach (knee-high or above), and if the broom can't get it without me bending over...it stays where it is until April.

The unexplored "region" has gotten knicked a few times by trying to blindly shave. The legs are getting shaved from the knee down, but only because it's summer here and I am wearing capris.

I can still fit (barely) into pre-pregnancy pants, but only with the bella band--however my thighs/butt are gaining steadily, so I fear that in another week or two, it will be the few maternity pants I have and sweats. 7.5 weeks to go---I just don't want to buy any more maternity clothes!!

Tying shoes is a nightmare--I nearly broke my toe wearing my flip flops a couple weeks ago, so for long times on my feet I have to wear my tennis shoes. The only way I can tie them is putting my leg on the table sideways and giving it a go. It sucks.

I nearly can't put anything on the bottom shelf/veggie bin of the refrigerator--I've probably got 100cc of penicillin down there because I can't bend down to clean it out!

And it will get worse before it gets better...ugh!!

Do you have to hang them down in one hand and hope you can aim well enough with your leg? I think it's pretty funny how I have to get them on too. So fun!

I am having issues with shirts becoming a little too tight around the belly region, so I feel like I wear the same thing to work every 4 days...and then that leaves me with a hodge-podge of shirts for the weekend unless I want to do wash again before the work week starts all over again. I try and work from home to stay in sweats at least one day a week, that helps I can't imagine if I hadn't changed jobs, I would be wearing suits everyday to work....I would have wanted to kill myself.

And I finally had to stop wearing my pre-pregnancy jeans, I can still wear them with a Bella Band, but since I carry so high I was able to button them before now, but not so much anymore.

I had to use the heating pad last night for the first time, my back was killing me, and its killing me again, I feel like I need to bring a pillow to work to stuff in the back of my chair to keep me straight.

And yes, I have issues with Acid Reflux too, not terrible, but it happens, and WOOF when it does.

Its hard to put Olivia down in her crib laying down, because my belly hits the side, its not so comfy, but she will only let me put her down at night, so I don't have a choice. My DH is getting better about picking her up for me and just handing her to me, because picking her up strains all my muscles now...she is no light weight
