heartrates.....
Ok, so has anyone kept track of the baby's heartrate when they're at the doc's office???
I know they say that girls usually have higher rates than boys....
I have a feeling that this "lil Girl" is gonna come out with a penis!!!!
today the heartrate was 133, I haven't asked the last several appts but I think it's been around the same, and my doc does not seem to be confident that this is a girl. He says he thinks it's a beautiful healthy --baby!!! DH said that he's gonna run far far away if it turns out to be a boy, he's afraid I'm gonna lose it!
and to be honest I will be fine,(eventually ) but I know that I will be pretty depressed for a while.

I think they generally say that girls HB's are faster, but I don't know if that is "fact" or just one of those "typical" situations...maybe your little one is just relaxed in there?
Re: heartrates.....
yeah, "the baby" doesn't seem to move around alot while I'm at the doc's. so that could contribute to a lower rate I guess.
I'll be ok either way- I guess, I really only care about a healthy baby!

Re: heartrates.....
I found a medical study done on heartrates, and there is a half-beat difference between boys and girls, so you really can't count on heartbeat. My little boy's heart rate was in the high 150s for months, and is now settling into the mid 140s. It would drive me bonkers to have been told one gender, but without much confidence. I would have figured out some way to get another u/s!!

my boy has been 140 steady for months!

I've also heard this about heartrates & genders... but, a few times I've been to the Doc or used our own doppler at home, my Princess was a lazy monkey and her HB was around 136... on a 'normal' basis, it's around 149-154.. but there have been quite a few "lazy moments."
I hope you get your Princess!

Brayden's heartrate is always between 140-150. I am so hoping he pops out with a missing penis. I know it won't happen, but I do wish and hope.

Our babies HR was 150+ for the first few months, and now has been 128-140 usually falling in the 130s for the last 3 months or so. And he is a boy:)

My doctor said you can't go by the heart rate tale. My girls has been 140 - 144ish since about 10 weeks. I have a doppler too. At the dr's the past two weeks it has been in the 160s and she was very active at that time.

Re: heartrates.....
My dr. told me that the whole "heartrate gender perdictor" is only about 50% accurate. Not even worth thinking about. I have a nonstress test every Monday so I watch Jorja's heartrate for hours at a time and it's been 140 -145 for a couple of months now (that's her baseline heartrate). She'll have accelerations that go up in the 160s or even 170s occasionally but for the most part it stays pretty low. So who knows about your little one Can't wait to find out though.

Re: heartrates.....
I am definately having a girl, according to the many ultrasounds (12) that I have had. Her heartrate is always between 128-135 unless she is moving around and then it will go up to about 145-150. My son's heartrate was always 150-160. So, according to what they say I don't think it is too true. Keep us posted on what decides to pop out!!!

so according to what they say,,,, if we went by the heartrate, ur kids would have been opposite!!!
I'll be ok, if the baby decides to come out with a penis!!! I'll just rethink this whole vestctomy thing over!!!
