maternity pic preview

Hi Mommies,

Here's a preview of the pics we had done today. I won't get to see all of them for a week or so, but this gives a sense of them. I don't know why, but I was like, sure - I'll get naked... no problem! I never would have done that before being pregnant... must be the hormones.

Thanks, everyone! I definitely feel reserved about sharing them with friends and family (not you ladies, though, of course ), just because the pics are so intimate, and not everyone is used to celebrating the naked pregnant belly... like my mom, for instance! I anticipate her reaction to be:

So I haven't shared them with many people, and will wait to split them into general audience shots, and those for the selected inner circle.

I will spring the preview shots on mom tonight just for fun, though... geez, my dad will probably keel over. My beloved parents are old-school, conservative, and have always had to deal with their youngest daughter rocking their world.

From what I've seen, they're beautiful and in very good taste. You should be very proud. You're a beautiful mommy-to-be Can't wait to see the rest of the bunch!

I would love to have a body like yours when I am pregnant! I would scare the heck out of everyone if they saw pictures of me like that! You are so lucky!

Oh thank you, ladies... you are making me blush. And April, your comment about your dh just made me laugh out loud! You all are too kind, and I appreciate the ego boost!

I showed DH too...saying that I wanted to do some pictures like that (which he finally agreed to let me schedule). He was scandalized! He's like, "you would get naked in front of a photographer???" Umm...Yeah. It's not like porn or anything, bud! He pretty much forbid me. Apparently, I'm a teacher and he's an officer in the military...and neither one is conducive to having "nudey" photos of me floating around. Who knew men could be such prudes?!!

NOt mine.. My dh would be like.. Let me do them myself! I love seeing you nakey nakey! LOL He really liked Amy's picturse alot. He commented on how sensual they were and calming with the blue sheet. If we had the money he would let me do it.. of course he would love to watch!

my dh was there the whole time, and he helped the photographer (who's a woman... don't think it would have worked with a man!!)... he was behind me flipping the blue sheet up so it would blow in the freezing wind from the big fan. (i told the photographer that she would have to photoshop the headlights, because it was SO cold!) i was really glad to share the experience with him... it was memorable!

you're right about the pics being "out there" though, Amanda, since in this case the photographer retains ownership of the images. and yes, they will be all over her website... not with my last name, though!
