so i was bored today

So since we arent gonna get the furniture until the end of feb and im gonan wait to buy anything for the babies room until after my showers (i registered for some wall art and atuff like that) i have been really down that there isnt much i can be doing right now. SOOOOO i went to michaels today and boughts ome letters to spell his name out and painted them.. My camera is a pice of crap so trust me they look MUCH better in person.. Im so proud cause they came out so awesome! i cant wiat to hang them up!

thanks! im trying to figure out how to hang them.. I bought some tags that u glue to the back (crazy glue) and then u hang them with a nail on the wall but i like the string idea too.. Any suggestions?

We used ribbon.. we bought the sheer green ribbon and superglued them to the back and hung them...

They look GREAT - good job!!! I can't wait to hang out monogram, but it won't happen until the furniture is in place so I can center it...

I would love to do it too, but we don't have a name yet. Poor baby!

yeah same here.. i havent been able to do anything to his room yet cause without the furniture you dont know where to hang anything else lol.. Also like i said before i registered for a lot of the wall art i want and things like that so ive been feeling a lil down (with the nesting syndrome kicking in big time!) and getting the letters made me feel so much better.. DH and i had so much fun picking out the style and colors together

I used ribbon to hang Caitlin's to give it more of a girl touch with Dylan I just used picture hooks.

After i paint my letters.. Same font as yours ... I will hang mine with brown and pink polka spots ribbon kinda like this.. but i might make the ribbon a bit longer.. i havent started that yet. I want to do it with my friend Denise. BTW.. I like your letters! Cant wait to see them in the nursery! Dont be sad.. Your shower will be here before you know it!!!

I also found my letters at Michael's. On the back of my letters there is a place for me to hang it with nails. Here is a picture of mine that I finally got painted.

I love the red you used but the room is already pretty dark so I was trying to brighten it up with the pale blue.

mine are wooden.. They had 4 diff kinds.. They had large white letters, next to those large thin wood ones (we were gonna go with those until we found the ones we got) small script looking ones (a lils maller than what we got, we liked them but felt they looked to girly) and then the medium ones which is what we got and they are a much thicker wood and have nice indents and deffinition in them (u can see it best on the letter A) they kinda look 3rd.. its hard to describe.. The red is a little darker in person but the flash made it so light in the pic..

Well then..mine might just have to be returned and i will have to keep searching for bigger ones. I really like how wide those ones are. I want to do polka spots and flowers on them.. just not in the order I want to do whats on my bedding but havent figured out what yet. I keep saying i have time...but its slowly running out!

I was not going to do letter this time, but after seeing everybody's I think I might get some white ones and put them up. I mean poor the kid will be in a corner so not to much I can do. The walls are a pale blue so white should look pretty good with the walls and this bedding:

michaels had some nice all white already painted letter for 2.99.. they were a nice large size too.. They were painted and ready to be hung.. I just think they were really nice and cheaper than the ones ive seen other places.. I think babies r us had the same exact ones for 5 or 6.00 per letter.. you should look into that..
