Christmas Gift Vent
Ok ladies lets vent about what you got.
1. Was from my mil. I swear she does thie on purpose every year. Just gets me something to get it. I got a a shirt. A really nice dress shirt that I will never be able to wear. It is not a preggo shirt, nor will it even fit me after baby. Since my boobs are so big I have to get 3x shirts, and she gets me a 1x shirt. Then on top of that she gets me a gift card to TGI Fridays. Which is all well and good, except for the fact we get free food from there and she knows this.
2. DH gets me a new watch. I had been wanting one, becasue my other one has passed on. Well I tell him 85 million times "do not get me the stretch band, it piches my skin and I hate it". So I open my wathc and love it. Just what I wnated, untill he said "I had a hell of a time trying to find you a stretch band". I mean really????
Now don't get me wrong I am greatful I got them, but I just wanted to scream at the top of my head to just listen, with dh.
With mil I just wanted to tell her thanks but no thanks and give them back. I swear she did in on purpose.

Re: Christmas Gift Vent
So this year...I swear I got 2-3 "As seen on TV" gifts, I mean really...
1) An electric jar opener...not needed and a waste of space, hoping I can take it back to Bed Bath and Beyond...
2) A laptop stand/table...and my Mom said "I notice you always have it on your lap...." Ummmm, DUH, its a LAPtop...
I also got these Baby First/Second Year Calendars, thoughtful yes, but not the ones I would have picked for myself...
Also, my Dad got me a DVD Recorder, a great gift, but not for me, I am happy uploading my photo's and video's to my computer so I can save them instead of having CD's all over the place. I swear, they just don't get me...they are all about quantity, not quality...I would rather one NICE gift, rather than 43 so-so gifts...Wow, I sound like such a brat.
We haven't had Christmas with my In-Laws yet since my DD was sick we didn't travel, they are going to come up on Wednesday or Thursday, so I am guessing I will have another report...
And my DH and I didn't exchange Christmas Presents this year, saving for the baby, etc. Last year he did a great job, the two years before, AWFUL...

Next year... make a xmas list and email it to everyone who buys stupid gifts!
For me.. DH says.. What do you want? I say... Sony video camera.. He says.. Lets go shopping!
I pick out my own gifts! No complaints!
All my kids made out like banchies. Little spoiled brats! lol

Yeah, this is the first year I didn't make a list, the only thing on my list was Sex and the City DVD, and I got that, so I can't complain, but I did learn that I need to make a list, no more of this "I don't need anything" crap, because all that means is I get crap LOL.
Re: Christmas Gift Vent
Lists are the best! I email my hubby the list with pictures and where to buy it.

Yeah I usually do send links, but this year I just couldn't think of anything I wanted....
Re: Christmas Gift Vent
I do a Wish List at Walmart.com. My dh was suppose to to let everybody know, but I am sure he did not.

Re: Christmas Gift Vent
No gifts this year. DH and I agreed not to spend any money since we're broke. We went to the movies (saw "Yes Man" it was hilarious) and then used a gift card from DH's employer to pay the majority of a nice dinner out in North Beach). It was a wonderful Christmas. I originally was bummed we couldn't spend any money... but it turned out great!
I'm sure there's a silver lining in there somewhere ladies... :-)
