2 hour school delay....

but school still started at regular time.

So I leave to take Jared to school at 8:15 this morning. There is a light dusting on the ground, which is covering up ice. It took me 15 minutes to get him to school, which is about 13 minutes longer. We pulled in the parking lot and there was maybe 1/2 the cars there as usual.

I leave Jared's school to take Caitlin to school. That should be a 5 minute drive. Nope 27 minutes.

So Jared's school starts at 8:30, but today not till 10:30. When I came home from dropping off both the kids the bus had not even ran in my neighborhood. That is going on 1 hour late. So school did not start till all the buses got there.

I know that we missed school a couple weeks ago. 5 days to be exact, but really roads at a stand still and they can not even give us a 2 hour delay. I mean we are talking black ice here.

Dumb ass school people.

Yuk that sounds horrible! We are getting some light snow right now.. with black ice... but schools here are on winter break. So we didnt have to worry about checking school closings.
